In the UK there is a Monetary Policy Committee; they will decide about the interest rate in their monthly meetings; and usually decide to decrease, increase, or do not change the rate. When there is inflation they usually increase the rate by %0.25 and they succeeded to keep the inflation below the Bank of England target of %3 for the last 10 years. Now look at the comment of the ISNA economic reporter at the end of this report:

چه کسی (یا سیستمی یا چیزی) اجازه داده این آقا گزارش اقتصادی بنویسد؟
خب معلوم است٬ همان که اجازه داده رییس‌جمهور نرخ بهره‌ی بانکی را کم کند.
